The School opened on the 11th February 1867 the teacher Mr Edmundson not being ready to take charge of it, After teaching a few days I left it in charge of the colored girl Henrietta Shepherd under the temporary supervision of Mr J.E. Reece  On the 20th Feby he suspended it from the fact that it was too large for the girl to manage. On the 25 it was resumed under charge of Mr Edmundson Hence all our names are attached for this month as teachers. J. H. Caldwell |
