NOTE TO TEACHERS. - It is the duty as well as interest of the Freedmen's Aid Society to supply its patrons and friends, and the members of our Church generally, with information which will give them faithful views of the work before us, and enable them to judge correctly in regard to the efficiency and success of our Society. This information can only be furnished by those connected with our schools, and hence the following rules; namely:

I. Each Teacher shall furnish a Monthly Report and mail it to the Corresponding Secretary within five days after the close of the school-month for which it is made.

II. Where two or more Teachers are in one school, the Principal shall furnish a Report of the entire school, and each Assistant Teacher shall report the scholars under his or her instruction.

III. Each Teacher shall furnish a letter on general topics connected with the work, using for this purpose the blank pages of the report. (To do this more readily, keep memoranda during the month and write upon the following among other topics; namely: (a.) Condition and progress of school; (b.) Branches in which most rapid progress is made; (c.) Sunday school and other Religious matters; (d.) Industry and employment of Freedmen; (e.) Interesting incidents; (f.) Discouragements.)

IV. Each Teacher shall make a full Financial Statement each month, (page four of Blank.) Teachers' expenses may be paid in advance, but salary will not be allowed until the Monthly Report is received.
J. M. WALDEN, Corresponding Secretary.
R.S.RUST, Field Superintendent.
