Gen O Brown A Commissioner General, I have the honor herewith to enclose my School Reports for January 1869 Va Ed Form 2. Ed. Form 4. Ed. form A. Form 2 shows 1052. scholars in this sparsely settled Dist. more than double the number if I mistake not that have ever attended school in this Dist. previous to the commencement of the current term which commenced Oct 1/68 This of course shows an increased & increasing interest in Education. Although this letter of transmittal might not under ordinary circumstances be the best method of calling attention to a different subject I would respectfully call attention to the fact that I am now announcing for the 4th time that I have not a solitary No 2. nor an Endorsement or Letter Book.
