Respectfully returned to General O. Brown Assist. Commissioner with the information the vouchers to cover the pay for services of Mr. R. Waldo during the month of December were received at this office on the 31st of December 1868 and paid by check on the same day through Captain John A. McDonnell the Sub Asst. Commissioner of the 9th Sub District, the receipt of which was acknowledged by Capt. McDonnell on the 2nd of January 1869. 
Transportation for Mr. Waldo, to his home, was applied for from this office, through the Assist. Commissioner on the 24th of December and was received through the same channel on the 6th of January 1869 and transmitted to him on the same day. Mr. Waldo, in a communication dated January 7th acknowledges receipt of same.
