By direction of the Asst. Comr, you will expend the sum of Ten (10) Dollars per month for rent of School House situated at Bristol Goodson, Va. to be paid to Sarah E. Bowen - also the sum of Ten (10) Dollars per month for rent of School House situated at Glade Springs Washington Co Va to be paid Matilda J. Taylor. 

Rent in both cases to commence Jany 
1st 1869 and terminate April 30th 1869

This expenditure is based upon an application of R.M. Manly Asst Supt of Schools of April 8th 1869 on file in this office.
