I have the honor to ask that Lt. Col. Benj F. Pratt 36th U.S. Col. T. may be detailed in this Bureau and ordered to report to me

relieving Lt. Col. H.B. Scott 4th Mass Cavalry who in accordance with the [[strikethrough]] order [[/strikethrough]] understanding had with the Commissioner was to be ordered to Florida so soon as the place could be filled here - Col Pratt has applied for this detail and is well recommended
