Commissioner &c General I have the honor to enclose my report of Lands for the month of August this report shows the gains and losses in Lands during the month. I have called on the Superintendents for a complete report of Setpember of all Lands and houses in the possession of the Bureau on the last day of the month. Respty yours O. Commissioner &c General I have the honor to enclose consolidated report of civilians employed by the bureau in the month ending 31st July 1865. Resp'ty yours &c (Sgd) O. Brown Col. & Asst. Comr Official JA Bates A.A.A.G. (146) 3d October 1865 Howard Maj. Gen. O.O. Commissioner &c General I have the honor to ask that Lt. Col. Benj F. Pratt 36th U.S. Col. T. may be detailed in this Bureau and ordered to report to me 89 relieving Lt. Col. H. B. Scott 4th Mass Cavalry who in accordance with the [[strikethrough]] order [[/strikethrough]] understanding had with the Commissioner was to be ordered to Florida so soon as the place could be filled here. Capt Wilder reports that a farm on which the Bureau has a large amount of buildings has been advertised to be rented one year at auction He asks if he shall rent it for the Bureau Please answer (Sgd) O.
