Smith,[[/underlined]] late agent in charge of Mathews and Gloucester Cos, who resigned on May 1st., and was honorably discharged by, order from these Head [illegible], dated May 3rd. 1867, is now applied for aggain by Genl. [[underlined]]T. C. Armstrong,[[/underlined]] Agent in charge 5th. [[illegible]], who states that the -resig -nation was for personal reasons, which have ceased. This gentle- -man is well acquainted with the division and I respectfully re- -commend that he be appointed agent with a salary of $100 per month, for the purpose of being reassigned to his former duty.
