The decrease of dependents from the preceding month is Two hundred and twelve (212).

The number of Refugees receiving rations was One hundred and three (103), - a decrease from the previous month of nineteen (19).

The number of Persons furnished aid under the "Special Appropriation Fund" was Eleven hundred and thirty one (1131) adults, and Fourteen hundred and forty eight (1448) children showing an increase of two hundred and forty four persons.

The number of Schools in the Department during the month was Thirty (30), of which Five (5) were Public Free Schools - The whole number of Teachers was Thirty three (33) of whom Ten (10) are White The whole number of Pupils, was Nine hundred and twenty four (924)

The number of persons treated by Bureau Medical Officers for Sickness during the month was Forty two hundred and twenty six (4226). - The number remaining under treatment at the end of the month was Twelve hundred and six (1206).

The number of Orphans, under charge of the Bureau at the end of the month was one hundred and sixty eight (168).

The number of Insane remaining on the 31st of August was Fifty one (51).
