Norfolk G-4-1865
Capt O. Brown
My dear friend. I beg leave to call thy attention to the following cases.

(1) Jack White the poor colored man who figured so well in the taking of Norfolk desires to go to his old home in Philade. Can anything be done to aid him - in transportation or otherwise?

(2) Margaret Bolt - a poor cripple - in common with others loses her rations unless she moves to the country - Her case appeared to me an exceptional one Living with a friend she had no rent to pay and living in our school and churches she has means for providing food
