means to travel &c. &c I shall be glad to hear from you further upon this subject, as I think you must see I can make no decision, or lay any plans for returning here until I know something more definite as to my sphere of labor, duties, compensation &c.

I shall remain in N. York city till Monday the 10th. Up to that time a letter directed to "1179 Broadway N.Y. City" will reach me. After that, for the next few weeks at least, my address will be "So. Montville, Maine".

Please never think of me as seeking a place.- If in your great and trying work, there is any place that seeks me, please let me know it.
