I have been very sick since my return to Philad'a, and cannot be in Richmond as soon as I had expected. I requested Benjamin Tatham to reply by return of mail, either to thee or myself, giving him thy full address; as I have not heard from him, I presume he has written to thee; when thee writes, explaining more fully the conditions upon which Friends may use the property at "Point of Rocks," will thee be kind enough to tell us the substance of B. Tatham's reply? In case a satisfactory arrangement cannot be made for the whole property, I am requested by the "Womens' Aid Association of Friends of Philad'a," to ask whether thee will be willing to grant to them, for an orphanage, the mansion, with about 12 acres of ground adjoining, with sufficient
