We are advised that certain parties are making efforts to obtain possession of the house, No 80 Main St., Norfolk, assigned to us by Military Authority for the use of our teachers among the Freedmen.

permit me in behalf of the Association, to request that you will use your authority, as Assistant Commissioner of the Bureau of Freedmen, Refugees and abandoned lands, to secure to us, for the purposes named, the continued use of that house,
