Colonel,

I wish you to cause Transportation to be granted, for fifteen Hundred (1500) Colored People, from different Points of the state of Virginia to different Destinations in the north, Have them furnished in such a way that I can carry them to NY, Phila, Baltimore and Washington  I think I can find labor for [[strikethrough]] so [[/strikethrough]] many in the North very easily.

I am now on my way north with a small Number, and wish to take more in one or Two weeks, I make this request through the advise of Capt Wilder

You can forward the Transportations to Capt Barnes I can get them from him
