Sir:
I have the honor to inform you that the following named National Banks have, since the date of my last communication, been designated as Depositories of the Public Monies, except receipts from customs, in accordance with the provisions of the forty-fifth section of the National Currency Act:

The National Exchange Bank of Richmond, Va.
The National State Bank of Desmoines Iowa.
The National Bk of the Commonwealth in the City of New York.
The Ocean National Bank of the City of New York.
The Alton National Bank of Illinois.
The Massasoit Bank of Fall River, Mass.
The Middletown National Bank of New York.
The Framers National Bank of Ashtabula Ohio.
The National Fulton County Bank of Gloversville, N.Y.

Will you have the goodness to notify such officers of your Department as may have business to transact, or Public Monies to deposit, at any of the points named, that the said Banks have been so designated?
