Laborers but very few have any they wish to send away. All Refugees who have arrived here I have found employment for at once among the Farmers in this vicinity at fair compensation.

The county farm is located some 8 miles north of Franklin. I find the farm under a good state of cultivation. There are at present but 6 or 7 colored people there. Two or three are able to assist in the cultivation of the Farm. Present prospects indicate that but few will be obliged to go there as employment can be found for nearly all.
