Sir,

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 20th inst. with reference to certain lots light clothing now on your hands, and suggesting the sale of the same for the benefit of the Bureau.

In reply you are respectfully informed that the Bureau has under consideration the proposition to transfer this clothing to the Agent of the Bureau for some one of the extreme Southern States, giving you credit for the estimated value of the clothing.

You will please inform the Bureau whether in your opinion, the clothing is of such a character that it could be used by persons living in Louisiana or Texas during the

In the first paragraph after "Sir" this sentence should say, "with reference to certain lots of lights clothing...." in essence, they forgot the "of". Should be a comma after "Bureau" in the last paragraph. Should be a comma after "Texas" in the last paragraph.
