Communication of Mr. Geo. H. Woode dated Washington D.C.
Sept 6. 1865 - Requesting information concerning the parents of Peter Hall (colored). His father's name was John. His mother lived in 1863 with her owner R.F. Landry in Orange Co. Va, near Robinsons Tavern.

The paper of which the above is a description, was referred to you, Sept. 8, 1865 to be forwarded to the Agent, nearest the point mentioned for inquiry and report; It has never been returned to this office, nor has any report been received.
