[[strikethrough]] Independent of It [[/strikethrough]] Independent, wholly of the plaintiff's citizenship in Va and  supposed rights as still a citizen of a northern state, it seemed a needless straining after jurisdiction to order the Freedmen's Court of Elizabeth City Co to [[strikethrough]] judge [[/strikethrough]] try a case of considerable importance against a foreign corporation, when the remedy in the regularly established Courts was complete. It might also [[strikethrough]] make [[/strikethrough]] cause unnecessary complications if the only property of the [[strikethrough]] defendant [[/strikethrough]] foreign corporation, to which plff. [[plaintiff?]] accedes, i.e. the Steamer, were seized at the wharf [[strikethrough]] by [[/strikethrough]] on an execution coming from a Freedmen's Court for a County of Virginia. 
I therefore, in compliance with your endorsement make the above as a report in the case, and State that I have no reason until further [[strikethrough]] advised [[/strikethrough]] instructed by you to reconsider my former action in instructing the Asst. Supt. of the County not to [[strikethrough]] take [[/strikethrough]] assume jurisdiction.
