be taken, as will enable Capt Flagg to relieve himself from this responsibility.

Saw mill at Franktown. -

The saw mill above referred to is situated at Franktown Northampton County and Capt Flagg deems it best to sell it as soon as possible for the sum of Twenty five hundred dollars ($2500) this amount having been offered for it by responsible parties, and being within $200 of its original cost.

Number of mills and where situated.

There are in this District three mills - two of them on Bureau papers, and the other on Quartermasters. The latter is the Brown and Bell mill, and the Asst Superintendent in charge is of the opinion that it should be sold. Capt Flagg concurs in this, but as it is Quartermasters property, an order from Maj Genl A.H. Terry Dept Commander, is necessary for the sale.

Quartermasters Property. -

I found upon examination that there is no property in the District reports upon "Return of Quartermasters Stores" which can be sold or turned in for that purpose, at the present time. That part of it which was not necessary for use in the Bureau had already been turned over to Colonel Blunt Chief Quartermaster at Fort Monroe early in the month of March.
