Papers returned from your H. Qrs. 30th Ult. received this A.M. The Hume Com shall be removed forthwith as ordered. 

Genl. Mann will see you in day or two to arrange for return of captured horses.  Dr. Wright obtained an order for return of my Black horse yesterday but immediately after giving it the General sent an orderly to me "not to act on it until further orders." Of course I told Wright I could not give up the horse without instructions from you and he was quite "nettled" about it. I shipped a chest of vegetables by Richmond boat this morning — shall I send every other day or twice a week. Please instruct me?  I have obtained
