If, as you assure me, and I have no doubt such is the case the homes and land held by you have never been in the hand of this Bureau. I of course wish nothing to do with them. In all cases I have been governed in my action by my ideas of what I considered my duty, gathered from existing orders and established by precedents. As to the charge you lay at my door of "interfering with your rights and business" for which you take me to task, I can only in justice to myself most positively assert that in no way have I done so, and cannot therefore "still persist" in it
