I have the honor to request that the Steam Saw Mill with the Lumber some (30.000) Thirty thousand feet at the mill, at City Point in charge of Capt Dunton Depot Quartermaster be turned over to this Bureau.

It is under the Direction of Brig Genl Ingalls, Q.M. Washington D.C. & Capt Dunton informs me, that with your approval he will turn it over to me

The Lumber we need very much, and the Mill I can make very valuable & useful in a short time,
