Benjamin Puryear Albert Dotson Henry Puryear and Charles Wood, having formed a copartnership, are hereby licensed to engage in and carry on a retail trade in Liquors and Groceries in the Town of Clarksville, during the occupation of the county by Military Forces of the United States, or till this license is annulled by an officer having competent authority, or the condition that they pay, as a license fee, to the Agent of the Freedmans Bureau for this County, the sum of One Dollar per month, to be expended for the benefit of said Bureau
