Respectfully returned to Col. O Brown with the information that there are only (10) ten ambulances [[strikethrough]] if [[/strikethrough]] in [[strikethrough]] posession [[/strikethrough]] posession of the Qr. Mr. in the city and that only one tenth of that number is allowed for use in this Bureau and that is constantly employed in convening the sick to Hospital [[strikethrouhg]] and [[/strikethrough]]

Respectfully forwarded to Col. W.L. James Chief Quartermaster. The distance is too great for these Teachers to walk (about one and on half miles) They cannot be provided with quarters nearer their School House I therefore deem this transportation necessary
