Office of Asst Supt R.F. and A.L. Columbia Va Nov 25th 1865 Capt Crandon A.Q.M. and Supt. &c Captain I have the honor to report, with reference to the case of the (cold) man Randolph Wells, that he has never entered complaint at this office against Mr Boswell for nonpayment of wages due him, said Randolph Wells made complaint about some hogs, I investigated the case, and ascertained that he had received the only hog, that belonged to him, the one in dispute would have been given him, if he had remained the balance for the year, but his conduct was such that Mr Boswell was oblige to discharge him.
