The descriptions of lands in Fairfax, Loudoun and Pr. William are very indefinite as a general rule but I think I shall succeed in finding most of the property. In some cases the records are erroneous I know. I noticed one or two tracts of land described as lying in one county which I know to be in another. What is the "docket number" and it's use? Very respectfully Your obt. servant Henry E. Alvord. Capt. & Supt. R.F. & A. Lands. Col. O. Brown. Asst. Com'r - R.F. & A.L. Virginia. H.E. Alvord Capt & Supt Washington D.C. 1st July 1865. Relating to his Distict Generally Letters From 5th Dist of Va for July 1865
