The only source of revenue in this subdistrict is that of Rents of certain buildings in our possession Consisting of - First - The socalled Contraband Barracks, Corner Prince & Payne Sts containing Forty (40) rooms which are rented to Freedmen at from Two to Four dollars per Month.

Second - The remains of a brick house on St. Asaph. St. between Duke and Wolfe called the "burnt house" from the fact that all the main building was destroyed by fire leaving only the wing and the walls around the lower
