Some of the Citizens, who have small children in their charge, wish to have them bound out, or something, of that kind, as they are of no more use to them.

I shall finish taking the Census of Leesburg in two days, and then will go to some (of the other villages in the County.

It is impossible to give any estimate of the population of the Co, as since the War, so many have ran away. The only way to get at any thing like a correct return, is to go over as much of the Co, as possible, and see the [[strikethrough]]                                                         the[[/strikethrough]] People themselves.

Owing to the opposition that is manifested I should not like to remain here alone, and shall return with Capt. Baker.
