I have the honor to report that this District is now organised and officed  as follows

Sub District "A" comprises the counties of Rockbridge, Botetourt, Alleghany and Bath; Lt. C.J. Tubbs 58th Pa Vols Assist Supt, office a Lexington, Rockbridge Co. Va

Sub District "B" comprises the counties of Augusta and Highland, Mr. F.S. Tukey Assist. Supt., office at Staunton, Augusta Co., Va.

Sub District "C" comprises the counties of Rockingham, Shenandoah, and Page; Lt. D.A. Smith 194th NY Vols Assist Supt, office at Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co. Va.

Sub District "D" comprises the counties of Frederick, Clarke and Warren, Mr. J.A. McKenzie Assist Supt. office at Winchester, Frederick Co Va.

Sub District "E" comprises the counties of Jefferson and Bukley, Lt. John Olmsted, 193d N.Y. Vols Assist Supt, office at Harpers Ferry Jefferson Co. Va.

I wonder if in "E", the county named BUKLEY was supposed to be BERKELEY? The 50 Virginia counties lost when West Virginia was admitted to the Union as the 35th state in 1863 were (alphabetically): Berkeley County ..... Jefferson County Harpers Ferry is in Jefferson county WEST VIRGINIA, so it makes sense that Berkely and Jefferson are also in WV now.
