U.S. MILITARY TELEGRAPH. July 25th 1865. By Telegraph from Lynchburg 1865. To Col O Brown Asst Com'r Bureau Freedmen &c. Will you please answer the following questions as soon as may be. 1st How many clerks am I allowed in the district & at what [[strikethrough]] salary [[strikethrough]] salaries? 2d Shall I employ civillians if gen'l Curtis cannot furnish me with an adequate no. of assistants 3d As there are no public buildings or consficated lands in my district shall I be allowed to hire buildings for the surplus Freedmen & pay same from the fund_ Shall I do the same in regard to quarters for myself. If General Curtis cannot supply me with men can you have Lieut's & men detailed at Gen Terrys Hd Qrs & forward Buel Carter Capt A.Q.M
