decision from you concerning this case, to serve as
a precedent as there are several large planters in the
district who agree in sentiment with Mr. Scott, and
as soon as Genl Gregg's order is rescinded which
prevents summary discharge hundreds of families
will be thrown in our hands. Numbers of planters have 
been drawing rations in kind to be returned this fall
shall I continue these issues they are absolutely
necessary
