I have the honor to submit the following report for my district Quest No 1. "Are they at work & &c. As a general thing the Freedmen are at work, but there is a very general disposition among them to change their former homes. Quest No 2. "Are those who work with their former masters The Freedmen are working well & seem willing to work as a general thing. Quest No. 3. Do their former masters treat them kindly? They are treated humanely, but with a great many exceptions of harsh treatment & injustice Quest No. 4. Do they practically acknowledge their freedom? Their freedom is practically acknowledged.
