Bureau R.F & A L Office Supt' 7th Dist Va Lynchburg, Va. Sept. 7 1865 I have the honor to forward herewith list of applicants for transportation at my office up to this date. Of Residents of this place applying for transportation, only those are registered whose condition would be improved by departure from here. Twenty six (26) persons arriving on R R. were hired and taken to Culpepper Co Va by farmers. Thirty men and women arriving on R.R. would not wait for transportation, but started on foot for their former homes in North Eastern Va. They were given three days rations.
