He assisted in burning Hampton and abusing union men.  Also he was engaged for a long time in running off negroes and did not hesitate to shoot them if they would not go. 

T.A. Harris Place (Hope Farm) Abandoned and confiscated.
He was a Capt. of a Vol. Co. Rebel Army and afterwards left it and became a practical surgeon.

John Armistead Place was abandoned and confiscated.
He was Captain in a rebel army and aided in fomenting rebellion and burning Hampton.
