Our friends in Charlotte, Lunenburg and Mecklenburg counties are informed that Mr. ROBERT BOYD, of Mecklenburg, Assistant Assessor of Internal Revenue, is our appointed Agent, and is authorized to receive and receipt for subscriptions to The Republic.

CIRCULAR No. 1.-I. In accordance with authority vested in me as Commissioner of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, by an act of Congress approved March 3, 1865, entitled "An Act to establish a Bureau for the relief of Freedmen and Refugees," I hereby set apart, for the use of loyal refugees and freedmen, the following mentioned tracts or parcels of land, and other property within the State of Virginia, to which the United States has acquired title by confiscation, to wit:
LOUDON COUNTY.
1. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM HAFFER, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, two and a half miles east of Aldie, containing five hundred (500) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the Little River turnpike; on the east by land of Elizabeth Hutchinson; on the south by the "Diamond Hill farm," and on the west by land of Jonathan Beard and Mount Zion Church property.
2. That tract of land formerly owned by ROBERT A.ISH, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one and one-half miles east of Aldie, bounded on the north by the Little River turnpike; on the east by the Carolina road and land of Jonathan Beard; on the south by the Carolina road and the Aldie and Centreville road, and land of W.A. Zenga.
3. That tract of land formerly owned by CHARLES F. BIBBS, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, three miles northeast of Aldie, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of Roberts; on the east by lands of Samuel Rush; on the south by lands of Charles Retloor; on the west by the road leading to Oatland mills.
4. That tract of land formerly owned by BURR P. NOLAND, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, northeast from Aldie, bounded on the north by the road leading from the Carolina road to the Red Hill school-house; on the east by lands of John F. Allan and Thomas W. Ayers, S. Romilius Ferguson and John T. Lightfoot.
5. That tract of land formerly owned by JOHN F. SIMPSON, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, two miles south of Aldie, containing two hundred (200) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by land of -- Elgin; on the north by land of Sanford Rogers; on the west by land of N. Berkley.
6. That tract of land formerly owned by JOHN W. FAIRFAX, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one and one-half miles west of the Old President Monroe Mansion, containing one hundred and fifty (150) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Mrs. George Carter; on the south by lands of James H. Gulick. 
7. That house and lot known as the "Old President Monroe Mansion," formerly owned by JOHN W. FAIRFAX, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, bounded on the north by the lands of Patrick Hogen; on the east by the road leading from Oakland to the Little River turnpike; on the south by the lands of George Grant; on the west by land of James H. Gulick.
8. That old post-office building and lot formerly owned by JOHN STOVER, situated in the village of Aldie, in Loudon county and State of Virginia, bounded on the east by land of -- Zenages.
9. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM N. BERKLEY, situated in Loudoun county and State of Virginia, containing six hundred (600) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the road leading from Aldie to Middleburg; on the east by land occupied by Jonah Hood; n the south by land of Charles Berkley.
10. That tract of timber land formerly owned by SANFORD J. RAMEY, situated in Loudoun county and State of Virginia, on the Catoctin mountain, near Stumptown, containing thirty (30) acres, more or less, bounded on the North land of Ebenezer Grubb.
11. That tract of land formerly owned by SANFORD J. RAMEY, situated in Loudoun county and State of Virginia, on Cateotin creek, two miles northwest from Waterford, containing thirty (30) acres of wood land, more or less, bounded on the east by land of Henry Russell; on the northwest and south by land of Curtis Grubb.
12. That house and lot formerly owned by SANFORD J. RAMEY, situated in Leesburg, in Loudon county and State of Virginia, bounded on the east by King street; on the north and west by land of Henry G. Harrison; on the south by land of George Ryom.
13. That tract of land formerly owned by SANFORD J. RAMEY, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, two miles west of the Waterford and Wellsboro' road, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the south by land of A.S. Braden; on the east by land of J.E. Walker; on the north by the Hillsboro' road; on the west by lands of Joseph Pusey.
14. That tract of land formerly owned by SANFORD J. RAMEY, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, three miles northwest of Waterford, near B.E. Luckett's store, containing three hundred and thirty (330) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of S.C. Luckett; on the west by land of -- Baker; on the south by land of John R. Schooley; and on the east by the road leading from Isaac Hough's factory to the Cross-Road school-house.
15. That tract of land formerly owned by JOSIAH WHITE AND THOMAS WHITE, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, three miles east of Hillsboro', containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of David Warefield and others; on the east by the Public highway; on the south by lands of -- McDonald and others; on the west by the public highway.
16. That tract of land formerly owned by TURNER McDANIEL, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one mile south of Wheatland post-office, on the Loudon and Berlin turnpike, bounded on the south by land of B. Bram; on the west by De Butt's farm; on the north by the White farm; on the east by land of N. B. Peacock.
17. That tract of land formerly owned by JAMES WHITMAN and JOSEPH WHITMAN, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one mile south of Morrisonville, containing forty (40) acres, more or less, bounded on the west by land of James Grubb; on the north by land of E. Harden.
18. That tract of land formerly owned by SAMUEL CRAMBECKEN, situated in Loudon county and State Virginia, one acre one-half miles west of Lovettsville, containing one hundred and twenty (120)acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of widow Conrad; on the east and north by land of J. Conrad; on the south by land of Gideon Household.
19. That tract of land formerly owned by JAMES SMITH, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one-half mile north of Wheatland post-office, on the road leading from Lovettsville to Persoliville post-office, containing one hundred and fifty (150) acres, more or less, bounded on the south and west by land of Robert Wright; on the north by the Wickersham farm; on the east by lands of -- White and others.
20. That tract of land formerly owned by JOHN ELBRIDGE, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one mile south of Waterford, containing four hundred (400) acres, more or less, bounded on the south by land of L.S. Shirley and John Pusey; on the east by land of -- Rust; on the north by land of Francis Paston; on the west by the road leading from Waterford to Leesburg.
21. That tract of land formerly owned by MATTHEW HARRISON, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, adjoining the corporation of Leesburg, bounded on the south by Market street; on the west by land of Charles A. Johnson; on the north by land of Thomas  P. Knox.
22. That tract of land formerly owned by ARTHUR I. RODGERS, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, on the north side of Leesburg, containing one hundred and eleven (111) acres, more or less, bounded on the west by the road leading from Leesburg to Point of Rocks; on the north and east by land of Horatic Frendleburt.
23. That tract of land called "Big Spring Farm," formerly owned by GEORGE W. BALL, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, on the road leading from Leesburg to Point of Rocks, containing one thousand (1,000) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by the Potomac river; on the south by land of John Sloan and Thomas Sloan; on the west by land of William H. Grey.
24. That tract of land formerly owned by JOHN M. ORR, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one mile north of Leesburg, containing five (5) acres, more or less, on the east side of the road leading from Leesburg to Waterford, and bounded by lands of -- Shaffer and William A. Powell.
25. That house and lot formerly owned by JOHN M. ORR, situated in the city of Leesburg, Loudon county and State of Virginia, containing one (1) acre, more or less, on the corner of Back and Cornwall streets, and north side of Cornwall street.
26. That house and lot formerly owned by JOHN M. ORR, situated in the city of Leesburg, in Loudon county and State of Virginia, on Back street, bounded on the north by land of William J. Forsyth; on the west by Back street; on the south by land of A.R. Mott.
27. That tract of land formerly owned by EDWIN R. ONLY, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one mile east of Leesburg, containing four (4) acres, more or less, bounded on the east, south and west by land of Thomas Edwards.
28. That tract of land formerly owned by THOMAS W. EDWARDS, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one mile east of Leesburg, containing five hundred (500) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by land of E.J. Lee; on the south by land of Thomas W. Cleggett and others; on the west by land of H.M. Hardy; on the north by the turnpike leading from Leesburg to Washington.
29. That lot of land formerly owned by GEORGE R.HEAD, situated in the city of Leesburg, in Loudon county and State of Virginia on the corner of Loudon and King streets, bounded on the west by King street.
30. That dwelling house and lot formerly owned by GEORGE R. HEAD, situated on Loudon street, in the city of Leesburg, in Loudon county and State of Virginia, adjoining lot above described.

42. That trust of land formerly owned by ARMISTEAD T. RUST, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, three miles north of Leesburg, on the road leading from Leesburg to Point of Rocks, containing four hundred (400) acres, more or less, bounded on the south by land of Washington Ball; on the west by land of John Huffman and George Rust; on the north by lands of Sarah Craven.
43. That tract of land formerly owned by ARMISTEAD T. RUST, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, on the east side of Catoctin mountain, two and one-half miles from Waterford, containing ten (10) acres, more or less, bounded on the south by land of John W. Miner; on the west by land of Eliza James; on the north by land of William Russell; on the east by land or Tillman Gore.
44. That tract of land formerly owned by JOHN W. MINER, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, near Goresville, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by land of Tillman Gore; on the south by land of Henry T. Harrison; on the west by land of Thomas Phillips; on the north by land of Nicholas Mooney.
45. That tract of land formerly owned by GEORGE RUST, situated in Loudon county and Sate of Virginia, three miles east from Waterford, containing seventy-five (75) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by land of William Beverly; on the north by land of D. Smith; on the west by land of John Aldridge; on the south by land of William Williams.
46. That tract of land formerly owned by GEORGE RUST, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, three miles north of Leesburg, on the road leading from Leesburg to Point of Rocks, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by lands of Armistead T. Rrust; on the south by lands of John Huffman; on the west by lands of William Beverly; on the north by lands of Sarah Craven.
47. That tract of land formerly owned by GEORGE RUST, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, four miles north of Leesburg, on the road leading from Leesburg to Point of Rocks, containing two hundred and fifty (250) acres, more or less, bounded on the south by lands of William Beverly; on the west by lands of George D. Smith and William Cassiday; on the north by lands of Henry T. Harrison; on the east by lands of Sarah Craven.
48. That house and lot formerly owned by THOMAS F. TIBBS, situated in the town of Waterford, in Loudon county and State of Virginia, bounded on the north by lot of Charles Fenton Myers; on the south by lot of George Russell; on the east and west by the public highway.
49. That tract of land called "The Old Shelton Farm," formerly owned by DANIEL SCHRIVES, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia near Point of Rocks, containing two hundred and fifty (250) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Becky Mason; on the west by lands of Charles Williams; on the south by lands of George Marlow; on the east by lands of Benjamin Smith.
50. That tract of land formerly owned by CHARLES DAWSON and NICHOLAS DAWSON, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, containing five hundred (500) acres, more or less, bounded on the west by lands of the "Potomac Iron Company"; on the south by lands of Mr. B. C. Mason; on the east by land of Daniel T. Schrieves; on the north by the Potomac river.
51. That tract of land formerly owned by CHARLES DAWSON and NICHOLAS DAWSON, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one mile south of Point of Rocks, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the Potomac river; on the east and south by land of Mrs. Mason; on the west by "Furnace Tract."
52. That tract of land formerly owned by ARTHUR L. CHICHESTER, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, three miles northwest of Leesburg and one mile west of Big spring, containing four hundred (400) acres, more or less, bounded on the south by lands of George Washington Ball; on the west by lands of William H. Gray; on the north by lands of William Beverly; on the east by lands of George T. Rust.
53. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM H. GRAY, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, two miles north of Leesburg, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of ____ Arthur; on the east by lands of George Washington Ball; on the south by lands of Thomas Swan; on the west by lands of "Pressy Farm." 
54. That tract of land called "Eagle's Rest," formerly owned by FRANCIS MASON, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one mile east of Point of Rocks, containing one thousand (1,000) acres, ore or less, bounded on the north by the Potomac river; on the east by lands of Randolph Barnhouse; on the south by lands of Daniel T. Shrieves; on the west by lands of Mrs. Dawson.
55. That tract of land called "Chestnut Hill Farm," formerly owned by FRANCIS MASON, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, opposite Point of Rocks, containing four hundred (400) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the "Dawson Farm"; on the east by lands of D.T. Shrieves; on the south and west by lands of Charles Williams. 
56. That tract of land called "Kentrick Farm," formerly owned by FRANCIS MASON, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, three miles southwest from Sprink's ferry, containing four hundred (400) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of A. Joy; on the east and south by land of William Jackson.  
57. That tract of land formerly owned by FRANCIS MASON, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one mile south from Noland's ferry, on the road from Noland's ferry to Leesburg, containing one thousand (1,000) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of James Bezart; on the east by lands of Mrs. Gillatt; on the south by lands of Daniel Shrieves; on the west by land of Benjamin Smith.
58. That tract of land formerly owned by RICHARD MARLOW, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, seven miles north of Leesburg, on the road to Point of Rocks, bounded on the west by lands of William S. Sanders; on the north by lands of Daniel T. Shrieves; on the east by land of William Jackson.
59. That tract of land formerly owned by RICHARD MARLOW and JOHN MARLOW, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, five miles north of Leesburg, on the road from Leesburg to Point of Rocks, containing seven hundred (700) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of William Jackson; on the east by land of C.W. Paxon and W. Luckett; on the south by land of W.C. Sanders; on the west by land of Charles Williams.

That tract of land formerly owned by JAMES WHITEMAN, situated in the town of Harrisonville, in Loudon county and State of Virginia, containing one (100) acres, more or less, bounded on the west by land of ____ Hart; on the south by land of John Lasley; on the east by land of ____ Cooper; on the north by land of ____ Marsh.
61. That tract of land known as the "Goar Farm," formerly owned by JOHN W. GEORGE, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one and one-half miles west of Lovettsville, containing two hundred (200) acres, more or less, bounded on the west by land of J. 63. That house and lot formerly owned by J.W. BERNAUGH, situated in the town of Lovettsville, in Loudon county and State of Virginia, bounded on the east by the property of John Swort.
64. That tract of land formerly owned by JACOB H. MANNING, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, three miles west of Leesburg, containing two hundred (200) acres, more or less, bounded on the west by land of Washington Vanderventer; on the north by land of R. C. Brodin; on the east by land of Mrs. D. Heath; on the south by the Leesburg and Winchester Turnpike road.
65. That tract of land formerly owned by NATHAN GREGG, situated near the Catoetin church, in Loudon county and State of Virginia, bounded on the north by land of N.S. Brascon; on the east by land of Josiah Orrison; on the south by land of A. Beanes; on the west by land of D. Carr.
66. That tract of land formerly owned by JOSEPH SUGAR, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, south of Waterford, containing ten (10) acres, more or less, bounded on the north and west by lands of Joshua Pusey; on the south and east by lands of Israel Warner.
67. That tract of land formerly owned by ROBERT GILMORE BOWIE, situated in Loudon county and Sate of Virginia, at Clark's Gap station, on the Alexandria and Hampshire railroad, three miles south of Waterford and Snickersville turnpike, containing one hundred and fifty (150) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of ____ Thompson and M.C. Paxon; on the east by lands of Israel Warner; on the south by lands of F. Brown; on the west by lands of ____ Vandeventer.
68. That tract of land formerly owned by ARCHIBALD CLARK and ISAAC CLARK, situated in Loudon county and Sate of Virginia, three miles south of Waterford, on the Waterford and Leesburg road, containing one hundred and seventy-five(175) acres, more or less, bounded on the north, west and south by lands of Joshua ____; on the east by lands of Brown and Williams.
69. That tract of land formerly owned by ARCHIBALD CLARK and ISAAC CLARK, called the "Westly Farm," situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one and one-half miles south of Waterford, on the road from Waterford to Clark's Gap, containing one hundred and fifty (150) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by said road; on the west by lands of Rodney C. Braden and William Shawhorne.
70. That tract of land called "Braden Farm," formerly owned by OSCAR BRADEN, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, six miles west of Leesburg and one mile south of Waterford, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the south by Rodney C. Braden and William C. Shawhorne; on the east by lands of Washington Myers; on the north by lands of Noble S. Braden and Sanford J. Ramey.
71. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM BEANS, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, four miles south of Waterford, containing the hundred (100) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Nathan Gregg; on the east by lands of Samuel Purport; on the south by lands of Edward Brown; on the west by lands of William Mercer.
72. That tract of land formerly owned by JOSEPH HURT, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one-half mile west of Morrisonsville, containing seventy-five (75) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by the "Whitman Tract"; on the north by the "Marsh Farm"; on the west by the "Merchant Farm"; on the south by lands of Joseph White.
73. That tract of land formerly owned by JOHN BOLAND and WILLIAM BOLAND, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one and one-half miles south of Lovettsville, containing five hundred (500) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Adam Cooper; on the east by land of Benjamin Grubb on the south by land of John Leslie; on the west by land of Joy Shoemaker.
74. That tract of land formerly owned by JOHN DOLAND, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, near Lovettsville, containing one thousand (1,000) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Peter Virts; on the west by lands of Nicholas Lyman and Mary Fry; on the south by lands of John Little; on the east by lands of Benjamin Grubb and ____ Hickman.
75. That tract of land formerly owned by SAMUEL COOPER, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, one-half mile east of Luckett's store, containing eight (8) acres, more or less, bounded on the north and west by land of Samuel G. Luckett; on the south and east by land of S. Bennet.
76. That tract of land formerly owned by CHARLES J. GIDDINGS, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, three miles north of Waterford, containing three hundred and thirty (330) acres, more or less bounded on the west by the road leading from Waterford to Point of Rocks; on the south by lands of William Giddings; on the east by lands of William Schooley; on the north by lands of William Blocks.
77. That tract of land formerly owned by SANDERSON THRIFT, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, four miles south of Leesburg, bounded on the west by the Carolina road; on the south by land of ___ Hogland; on the east by land of D. Cross.
78. That tract of land formerly owned by CHARLES F. BERKLEY, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, bounded on the north by the Aldie and Middleburg turnpike; on the east by land of William H. Berkley; on the south by land of John F. Simpson and John F. Lynn; on the west by a road, and land of Ira Hickson.
79. That tract of land called "Woorull," formerly owned by CHARLES F. TURLEY, situated by [[obscured by a fold in the page]] county and State of Virginia, containing five hundred (500) acres, more or less, adjoining lands of Harrison Fitzhugh.
80. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM F. HUTCHINSON, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, bounded on the north by land of John F. Presgrove; on the east by land of Silas Hutchinson; on the south by the Little River turnpike; on the west by lands of William W. Palmer.
81. That tract of land formerly owned by BENJAMIN F. SAFFER, situated in Loudon county and State of Virginia, three miles west of Pleasant Valley, on the Little River turnpike, containing two hundred and fifty (250) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Mrs. M. Lewis; on the east by land of James Whaley; on the south by the Little River Turnpike road; on the west by land of Nicolas Wycoff.

CIRCULAR No. 1.--I. In accordance with authority vested in me as Commissioner on the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, by an act of Congress approved March 3, 1865, entitled "An Act to establish a Bureau for the relief of Freedmen and Refugees," I hereby set apart, for the use of loyal refugees and freedmen, the following-mentioned tracts or  parcels of land, and other property within the State of Virginia, to which the United States has acquired title by confiscation, to wit:

FAIRFAX COUNTY.
82. That tract of land called "Clennan Plantation, formerly owned by FRENCH FORREST, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, bounded on the west by lands of H.M. Scott; on the south by lands of the late Judge Cranch; on the east by lands of James Hone; on the north by lands of Charles Lee's heirs.
83. That tract of land formerly owned by McARTHUR ASHTON and JOHN CHICHESTER, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, three miles east of Fairfax Courthouse and one-half mile south of land leading from Fairfax Courthouse to Falls Church containing four hundred (400) acres, more or les, bounded on the north by the Conway farm; on the east by land of W.G. Dunlin; on the south by the Goodwin land and on the west by the Maynard farm.
84. That tract of land formerly owned by W.B. [[obscured by a rip in the page]] situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, the village of Drainsville, containing eight (8) acres, more or less, bounded on the west by lands of John H. Day, on the east by lands of ___ Wheat and ___ Dryer; on the south by Main street.
85. That tract of land formerly owned by JOHN LANDSTREET, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, two and one-half miles southwest of Lands containing one hundred and eight (108) acres, more or less, bounded on the north and east by lands of [[obscured by a rip in the page]] Sage; on the south and west by land of William [[obscured by a rip in the page]].
86. That tract of land formerly owned by JAMES McARTY, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, being an island formed by two channels of Accotuck river, at the head of tide-water, on Accotuck east and containing three-quarters (3/4) of an acre, more or less.
87. That tract of land formerly owned by HERBERT FAIRFAX, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the road leading from Centreville; on the south by the Warrenton turnpike; on the west by lands of Albert Flegler.
88. That tract of land formerly owned by JAMES H. SIMPSON, situated in the village of Centreville, in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, bounded on the west by the county road leading from Centreville to Union Mills; on the north by the Warrenton turnpike.
89. That tract of land formerly owned by ELIAS KNICKELS, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, two miles north of Union Mills, on the road from Union Mills to Centreville, containing four hundred (400) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of ___ Fulton and Thomas Taylor; on the east by lands of William Waight; on the south by lands of James Buckley.
90. That tract of land formerly owned by ELIAS KNICKELS, MILDMAN KNICKELS, ROBERT KNICKELS, RAMOND KNICKELS'S HEIRS and DANIEL KNICKELS, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, one mile north of Union Mills, on the road from Union Mills to Centreville, containing four hundred (400) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Israel Crouch and James Buckley; on the east by lands of James Buckley and J.L. Detrocler; on the south by lands of widow Lye.
91. That tract of land formerly owned by ELIAS KNICKELS, MILDMAN KNICKELS, ROBERT KNICKELS, RAMOND KNICKELS'S HEIRS and DANIEL KNICKELS, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, one and one-half miles south of Union Mills, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less bounded on the north by land of Daniel B. Knickels; or the east by land of John Knickels; on the south by Bull Run.
92. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM AYRES, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, containing one hundred and thirty-two (132) acres more or less, adjoining land of Thomas Ayres.
93. That tract of land formerly owned by WALTER WHALEY, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, adjoining the town of Centreville, on the Fauquier and Alexandria turnpike, containing three hundred and ninety-seven (397) acres, more or less.
94. That tract of land formerly owned by WALTER WHALEY, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less recorded in Liber 1, page 104, in the Records of Fairfax county.
95. That tract of land formerly owned by WALKER WILLIAMS, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, three and one-half miles west of Fairfax Courthouse turnpike, leading from Fairfax Courthouse to Centreville, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by lands of James Thrift; on the south by land of Mrs. Berkley; on the west by land of the late John Berkley.
96. That tract of land formerly owned by THOMAS MOORE, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, two miles east from Fairfax Courthouse, on the road leading from Fairfax Courthouse to Falls Church, containing three hundred (300) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Cummings and Kennoll; on the east by lands of F. Ferrott; on the south by the road leading from Fairfax Courthouse to Falls Church; on the west by the Webster farm.
97. That tract of land formerly owned by HENRY JENKINS, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, one mile south of Lewinsville, containing thirty (30) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of John Westfall; on the east by lands of Harry Stewart; on the south by lands of Charles Kirby; on the west by lands of Nicholas Lenmore.
98. That tract of land formerly owned by HENRY JENKINS, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, near the town of Lewinsville, containing one hundred (100) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the "Jennie Farm"; on the east by land of William Shipman; on the south by the "Woodworth Farm"; on the west by land of James McGarretty.
99. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM MASE, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, one mile south of Langley, containing eighty (80) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by land of George Waters; on the south by land of Henry Taylor; on the west by land of ____ Swort.
100. That tract of land called "Nelson Mill Property," formerly owned by JAMES M. COOK, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, one-half mile southeast from Langley, containing forty (40) acres, more or less, bounded on the east by land of ____ Reed; on the west by land of Richard Shearty.
101. That tract of land formerly owned by JAMES M. COOK, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, one mile west from Langley, on the Langley and Lewinsville road, containing one hundred (100) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of B. Makeil and ____ Jones; on the east by land of George Waters; on the south by the county road leading to Lewinsville; on the west by land of Dr. Makeil.
102. That tract of land formerly owned by ISAAC FAIRFAX, situated in Fairfax county and state of Virginia, two miles south of Union Mills, containing eighty (80) acres, more or les, bounded on the north by land of John Tigen; on the east by land of George Woodyard; on the west by lands of William Tillett (deceased) and Edward Simpson.
103. That tract of land called "Waugh Farm," formerly owned by JAMES H. SIMPSON, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, near Union Mills, on the Johnny Moon and Bull Runs, bounded on the north by land of John E. Detwilder; on the east by land of Henry Quignan; on the south and west by land of Mrs. Dye. 
104. That tract of land known as "Tillett Farm," formerly owned by HENRY TILLETT and JAMES TILLETT, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, two miles south of Union Mills, containing one hundred and ninety-four (194) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of John Kincheloe; on the east by lands of Isaac Fairfax; on the south by lands of John Dyer; on the west by land of John Woodyard.
105. That tract of land formerly owned by CORNELIUS KINCHELOE, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, one mile south of Union Mills, on the road from Union Mills to Fairfax station, bounded on the north by land of Daniel B. Kincheloe; on the east by land of John Kincheloe; on the west by land of D. B. Kincheloe. 
106. That tract of land formerly owned by ARTHUR BROADWATER, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, one mile east of Fairfax Courthouse, containing one hundred and seventy-three and one-quarter (173 1/4) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of Albert Wilcoxen; on the east by land of John Graham; on the west by land of Elisha Ostrauser. 
107. That tract of land formerly owned by ARTHUR BROADWATER, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, one and one-half miles below Fairfax Courthouse, containing one hundred (100) acres, more or less, lying on both sides of the Little River turnpike.  
108. That tract of land formerly owned by SHOLTS P. STEWART, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, northwest of Plathler Run (except twenty (20) acres of wood land), on the road leading to Centreville, adjoining land of _______ Mitchell, containing six hundred (600) acres, more or less. 
109. That tract of land formerly owned by SHOLTS P. STEWART, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, on the road leading to Cub Run, adjoining lands of Thomas Lee, containing fifty (50) acres, more or less. 
110. That tract of land formerly owned by ALEXANDER B. GRIGSBY, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, bounded on the east by lands of _______ Grigsby and Macon M. Jameson; on the north and northwest by lands of Alexander Waugh; on the south by the main road leading through Centreville from Aldie to Alexandria. 
111. That tract of land formerly owned by ALEXANDER B. GRIGSBY, situated in Fairfax county and the State of Virginia, near Centreville, containing forty-three (43) acres, more or less, late the property of John D. Bell. 
112. That tract of land formerly owned by ALEXANDER S. GRIGSBY, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, containing two hundred and seventy-eight (278) acres more or less, being lot No. 2 in the Report of Commmissioners appointed to divide the lands of Thomas Blackbun, deceased.
113. That tract of land formerly owned by ALEXANDER S. GRIGSBY, situated in the town of Centerville, in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, being part of two lots designated in the plan of said town as Nos. 17 and 100.

GRIGSBY, situated on Main Street, un the town of Centerville, in Fairfax county and State of Virginia bounded on th east by Adams street: on the north by Mary street: composed of two and half lots, Nos. 19 and 34: also, two half lots adjoining, forming and entire square.

GRIGSBY, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, beginning at junction of Maine and Keene streets running one hundred and forty-three (143) feet on Keen street to Buckley's lanyard:thence seventy-five (75) feet to western line of land of John and Newton Keene; thence one hundred and forty-four (144) feet to Main Street;thence to the beginning on the north side of Main Street.
120. That tract of land formerly owned by ALEXANDER S. GRIGSBY, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia on the Fairfax turnpike near lands of Sriplett and Spindle, containing one (1) acre and thirty-five (35) rods, more or less (full description in Records of the Bureau).
121. The tract of land formerly by ALEXANDER S. GRIGSBY, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia , on an arm of Cub Run, and near lands of Carter and Fitzhugh containing two hundred and fifteen (215) acres, more or less (full description in Records of the Bureau).
122. The tract of land formerly by ALEXANDER S. GRIGSBY, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, on the old Alexandria road, containing one hundred and nine (109)acres, more or less (full description in Records of the Bureau).
123. That tract of land formerly owned by SAMUEL L. BARNS, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia containing two hundred and one (201) acres more or less being No. 5 in the division of the estate of John Barns allotted to Samuel L. Barns.
124. That tract of land formerly owned by John H. Barnes, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, containing thirty (30) acres more less being the lot known as  [["Barnce's Mille.]]"
125. That tract of land formerly owned by HENRY W. THOMAS, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, near lands of ______ Logan, containing sixteen(16) acres, more or less (full description given in Records of this Bureau).
126. The tract of land formerly owned by JOSEPH COOPER, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, containing one-quarter (1/4) acre, more or less, lying west of Fairfax Courthouse, on the south side of Little River turnpike.
127. That the tract of land formerly owned by LEWIS D. MEANS, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, near Dead Run, containing fifty (50) acres, more or less (full description in Records of this Bureau).
128.That tract of land formerly owned by GEORGE STEVENS, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, two miles east of Fairfax Courthouse, on the road leading to Falls Church, containing two hundred and eight (208) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of Charles Sutton; on the east by the "Webster Farm"; on the south by the Magee Farm and Decker Farm; on the west by the farm of Mrs. ____.
129. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM HAMERSLEY, and called the "Mount Hoyle Farm" situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia.
130. That tract of land formerly owned by MITMER. D. CORSE, situated in Fairfax country and State of Virginia, near Ashton's Patent, containing one hundred and twenty-five acres, more or less, except eight (8) acres, lying on the southeast corner of the same parcel of land (full description in Records of this Bureau).
131. That tract of land formerly owned by JOHN POWELL, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, near Jamca's Mills, containing twenty-five (25 acres, more or less, sold by sheriff of Fairfax county October 20, 1846, deed in Liber P. No. 3, Follo 378, Records of Fairfax county.

That tract of land formerly owned by RICHARD COCKERILLE, situated in Fairfax county and State of Virginia, near lands of Lee and Haight, on the road leading from Centreville to Fryingham, containing two hundred and fourteen (214) acres, more or less (full description in Records of this Bureau).

That tract of land formerly owned by JAMES FRENCH, situated in Elizabeth city county and State of Virginia, about three miles southeast from the courthouse, containing fifty (50) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of James Shelton; on the east by Chesapeake Bay, on the south by United States land; on the west by Mill creek.
154. That tract of land called "Hope Farm" formerly owned by T. A. HARRIS, situated in Elizabeth City county and State of Virginia, bounded on the north and east by lands of J. Sinclair; on the south by the main road; on the west by lands of John Armistead.
155. That tract of land formerly owned by J. L. PECK, situated in Elizabeth City county and State of Virginia, containing four hundred (400) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by branch of Black river; on the east by lands of C. Pressin; on the south by the county road.
156. That tract of land formerly owned by MALLORY BATES and JOHN QUINCY BATES, situated in Elizabeth City county and State of Virginia, containing six hundred (600) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Samuel Cunningham; on the east by lands of John Simpson; on the south by James river; on the west by lands of William S. Smith.
157. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM SMITH and GEORGE SMITH, situated in Elizabeth City county and State of Virginia, containing one hundred (100) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the Newport News road; on the east and south by Coilegis's land; on the west by Causey's land.

That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM JONES, situated in Elizabeth City county and State of Virginia, six miles northwest from the court-house, containing two hundred (200) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Hellen Moore; on the east by the county road: on the south by lands of Eliza Jones; on the west by lands of Willian Goodall.

That tract of land formerly owned by EDWARD (or ELDRED) JONES, situated in Elizabeth City county and State of Virginia, on Back river, about four and one-half miles northwest from the court-house, bounded on the north by lands of Armistead Booker; on the east by lands of Booker Jones: on the south by lands of James Downey; on the west by lands of Algernon Whiting.

That tract of land formerly owned by JAMES SCLATERS, situated in Elizabeth City county and State of Virginia, on Bath river, four miles north from the court-house, containing one hundred and fifty [150] acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of Thomas Lowry; on the south by branch of Back river; on the west by land of Nancy Smelt.

In accordance with authority vested in me as Commissioner on the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, by an act of Congress approved March 3, 1865, entitled "An Act to establish a Bureau for the relief of Freedmen and Refugees," I hereby set apart, for the use of loyal refugees and freedmen, the following-mentioned tracts or  parcels of land, and other property within the State of Virginia, to which the United States has acquired title by confiscation, to wit:

PRINCE WILLIAN COUNTY.
  165. That tract of land formerly owned by FRANK J. CANNON, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, one mile northeast from  Manassas station, containing one hundred and fifty [150] acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of John Hood; on the east by land of Josiah Wilcoxen; on the south and west by lands of John Hoer. 
  166. That tract of land formerly owned by EPPAHUNTON, situated in Prince Willian county and State of Virginia, on the west side of the village of Brentsville, on the south side of the road leading from Brentsville, on the south side of the road leading from Brentsville to Bristow station. 
  167. That tract of land called the "Homestead Farm," formerly owned by WILLIAN THORNTON, situated in Prince Willian county and State of Virginia, one mile north of Brentsville, containing one hundred and forty [140] acres, more or less, bounded on the west by the county road leading from Brentsville to Bristow station: on the east by the Compton farm; on the south by Broad Run. 
  168. That tract of land formerly owned by EPPA HUTTON, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, contained forty [40] acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the county road leading from Brentsville to Bristow station; on the south, east and west by lands of A. Nichols, William W. Davis and Rhoda Lovelace. 
  169. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM W. THORNTON, situated in Prince William county and State of Virgina, one and one-half miles northwest from Brentsville, containing two hundred [200] acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the corduroy road leading from Brentsville to Bristow station; on the west by land of Mrs. Williams; on the south by Kettle Run; on the east by Lipscomb's farm. 
  170. That tract of land formerly owned by REDMAN BRANNON, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, three-quarters of a mile southeast of Manassas station, containing one hundred and fifty [150] acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of John Hood; on the east by land of widow Knickels; on the south by land of Joseph Higgins; on the west by land of F. A. Weden. 
  171. That tract of land called " Bloom Grove," or "Locust Grove," formerly owned by FRANCIS L. SMITH, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, one-half mile southwest from Bull Run bridge, containing five hundred [500] acres, more or less, bounded on the south by land of --- Duncan ; on the north by land of Witmer McLain ; on the east by land of F.L. Smith. 
172. That tract of land called "Birmingham Farm," formerly owned by L. B. BUTLER, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, three-quarters of a mile from Manassas station, containing two hundred [200] acres, more or less, bounded on the east by land of Mrs. McLain; on the west by land of William Wier and the county road leading from Brentsville to Centreville. 
  173. That tract of land formerly owned by JOHN F. SIMPSON, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, two miles south of Aldie, containing two hundred [200] acres, more or less, bounded on the east by land of --- Elgin; on the north by land of Sanford Rogers; on the west by land of N. Berkley.
  174. That tract of land formerly owned by NORBOURN BERKLEY, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, south of Aldie, containing two hundred [200] acres, more or less, bounded on the north by land of --- Enfield; on the east by land of Robert Rose, Ewell and Berkley; on the south by land of Edmund Berkley. 
  175. That tract of land formerly owned by EDMUND BERKLEY, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, seven miles southwest of Aldie, containing one thousand eight hundred [1,800] acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of Norbourn Berkley and Bailey J. Ewell; on the east by lands of George Norris and Mrs. Gallagher; on the south by lands of Pratt and Foly; on the west by line of Fauquier county, 
  176. That tract of land formerly owned by BENJAMIN JOHNSON, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, containing seventy-five [75] acres, more or less, bounded on the north by Therman's estate; on the east by land of F. A. Wheedon; on the south by lands of Mrs Cockerille and Mrs. Johnson. 
  177. That tract of land formerly owned by BENJAMIN JOHNSON,  situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, bounded on the east by land of H. J. Weir; on the north by land of ---- Reese and W. G. Godfrey and Predman's estate;  on the south by Therman's estate. 
  178. That tract of land formerly owned by F. A. WEEDON, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, containing three hundred [300] acres, more or less, bounded on the north by Orange and Alexandria road ; on the south by lands of ---- Johnson ; on the west by lands of Mrs. Johnson. 
  179. That tract of land formerly owned by BENJAMIN COCKERILL, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, containing two hundred and fifty [250] acres, more or less, hounded on the north by lands of Thomas Jones; on the east and south by lands of John Austin; on the west by lands of Mrs. Foster. 
  180. That tract of land formerly owned by JAMES S. ODEN, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, two and one-half miles southeast from Aldie, containing three hundred [300] acres, more or less, bounded by lands of Yankee Davis, Horace Sockett, Joseph Taylor and others. 
  181. That tract of land formerly owned by WILLIAM N. BERKLEY, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, three miles south from Aldia, containing five hundred (500) acres, more or less, bounded on the north by lands of J. S. Oden, Skinner's heirs and the Carolina road; on the east by the old Carolina road; on the south by the land of Robert Rose; on the west by Bull Run Mountain. 
182. That tract of land formerly owned by A. D. WRAE, situated in Prince William county and State of Virginia, containing forty [40] acres, more or less, on Neabsco Run, bounded on the east by the "Cherry Hill Farm"; on the south by lands of ---- Chamberlain; on the west by lands of William Theyer. 
183. That lot of land formerly owned by JOHN A. MINGER, situated in Prince William county and state of Virginia, in the village of Occoquon, on the corner of Union street and sixty [60] feet on Mill street.

193. That lot of land formerly owned by JOHN DE BREE, situated in the city of Norfolk and State of Virginia, on the north side of Main Street, bounded on the west by a lane; on the north by land formerly owned by Charles S. Allemand; on the east side by other lands of John De Bree.
194. One-half of that land formerly owned by JOHN DE BREE, situated in the city of Norfolk and State of Virginia, on the east side of Fenchurch street, beginning at the southwestern corner of the brick tenement on said lot,and running north on said Fenchurch street, fifty-one(51) feet and four (4) inches to lot of William D. 201. That lot of land formerly owned by JAMES H. JOHNSON, situated in the city of Norfolk and State of Virginia, on the south side of Main Street, No.80 as to the brick houses erected thereon.
202. That dwelling house and lot of land formerly owned by MATTHLAS WARD, situated in the city of Norfolk and State of Virginia, on the east side of Church street numbered 234 and 236.
203. That brick tenement and lot formerly owned by CALEB WHITE, situated in the city of Norfolk and State of Virginia, on Newton's wharf, and lately occupied by Strong and Morris.
