Investigatories put to Wm J Dickinson (residing Eight miles from Fredericksburg) Caroline County Va this twenty third day of February 1866.- by Major James Johnson V. R. C Supt 10" Va District. Bureau of Refugees Freedmen and Abandonded Lands. 1st Had you any blacks employed upon your farm during the year of 1865 - if aye - did they or any part of them work your farm or any part of it on shares. 2nd Was a division of the crops raised upon your farm in the year 1865 made under the supervision of an agent of the Freedmens Bureau - if aye - was that division in your opinion ecquitable and just, and were the Freemen satisfied with the division as made. 3rd Have you had within the period of a year a mutiny among the negroes on your place - if aye - when 4th Have you at any period within the last nine months let a House owned by you and formerly occupied by negroes to any white man as a tenant - if aye - what was his name. 5th Did said Thomas Skinner occupy the house so let - if aye - did he quit
