He is quite anxious about your illness, wants you in the field at once & expressed much regret that you could not be with him as he investigated things at Hampton.  But don't get out before you are able.  He had an interview with Capt Wilder & is favorably impressed with him & his statements, notwithstanding the scandal which was poured into his ears by the present incumbants of office at that place,
