Office Chief C.S.
Dept. Va.
Richmond. June 27th 65
E B 2424 (Va) Vol 3 - 1865

Respectfully returned with the request that,- as Capt. Gage's services are, at present, much needed in the Subsis. Dept [[strikethrough]] here [[/strikethrough]] this application be delayed a week.

I find that Capt Thompson C.S. was on the 21st inst. directed to relieve Capt Felt C.S. in his duties as C.S. at Norfolk, so that Cape Felt is probably now - or will be in a few days - ready for duty with Colonel Brown, which may perhaps enable him to get along without Capt Gage at present
