Col O Brown
Superintendent of
The Freedmen's Bureau-
Richmond - Va

Dr Sir,
I wrote to you near ten days since relative to the transferring of some young negroes formerly owned by me, to the state of Ohio; to join their parents who have been located there for three years & I have been greatly disappointed that I have had no reply from you as to whether the Freedmen's Institution will assume their transfer and if they can be supported on the way by an allowance for rations_ I am very anxious they should go before the hard weather sets in as they seem badly clad & will suffer if the journey is taken later in the season. Please write immediately on receiving this & let me hear if they can be sent to Yellow Springs - Ohio & when - I have just got letters from their mother in Ohio, begging me to have them sent out directly & I would gladly do so at my own expense is I had the means to do so- Pray let me hear as soon as you can - I subjoin again the names of those who are to be sent-

Names - Richard, Peter, Nelly, Dumion, MaGwin Winston, William, __Taylor, Henry _ Plummer,

(respectfully
Mary E Conway

I shall write to the boys to report to you at your office
