By Telegraph from Danville 1865
To U.S. Union Comr.
9 & Broad St.

We have a great many very sick freedmen in this hospital and are greatly in need of nourishment which we cannot obtain at this post for them.

The commissary has not the things we need from this. Anything you can furnish for them will be thankfully received and faithfully appropriated to the needed ones. Send Rice, Coffe, Sugar Tea Flour and general nourishment for sick people.
