Williamsburg, Va Aug. 21st 1865. Col. O. Brown. Freedmans' Bureau, Richmond Va Colonel: I respectfully represent that I left my farm in James City Co. Va in Oct. 1862 and with my family moved to Delaware, and while in that place a certain portable sawmill was removed from my farm of which I was two-thirds legal owner and had an equitable term upon the other one third. Said saw mill is at present at Mulberry Island in Charge of the Freedmans' Bureau. I respectfully request that it may be returned to me.
