Major-
I have the honor to report that I have made diligent search for the man Geo Martin but he cannot be found. he has not been here since last Sunday I cannot get any clue of him- I think from what I can learn that he has gone for good

The old man John Martin I sent under guard to your Hd Qrs. I learned from a colored woman that the gun belonged to Adam Anderson (col'd), and was by him taken away from the premises of Mr Martin soon after the affair. The  old man does not deny the fact of
