Colonel,
   The papers submitted to me in the above case are 1st a printed will.  2d A statement on behalf of the surviving Administrator de bonis non, 3d A statement of Mr WIlliams who is both a member of the Freedmens Court of Orange Co. and counsel for the Estate, and 4th the letter of Capt James A. Bates A.A.A.G. to Capt and Supt T.F.P. Crandon with its endorsements.  The last named paper is the only one from which I can derive any ray of intelligence.
   Capt. Bates stated that a certain colored man named Horace Deed, would present a certain will (with which he of course he would present his reason for so doing) to Capt Crandon, and that the latter should have "the case brought into the Freedmans Court for investigation, the result of which should be forwarded to Hd Quarters for the action of the Asst Commr &c."
   It does not appear that this

De bonis non administratis, Latin for "of goods not administered," is a legal term for assets remaining in an estate after the death or removal of the estate administrator. The second administrator is called the administrator de bonis non and distributes the remaining assets.
