and for the life of me, I cannot provide food & raiment & fuel for the helpless ones thrown on my hands, in the absence of nearly all my efficient labour, & to turn them off as many have done is revolting to my feelings and still I can not tell how I am to maintain them.  Oh the suffering the suffering that will be experienced by this state of things during the coming winter.  Mine have begun already to burn the enclosures around my promises with no one to cut & cart wood for them & before the winter is over we shall be stript of our comforts & conveniences.  I am having stolen from me hog after hog intended for my next year supply & am loosing from my flock of sheep from the same cause.
Do my dear sir suggest some remedy and help us if you can.
