II Capt Charles P. Wilder A.Q.M. having reported to the Chief of this Bureau in accordance with orders from A.G.O. is hereby assigned to duty.
He will at once proceed to Fortress Monroe Va and report by letter to Col. O. Brown Asst. Commissioner at Richmond Va. under whose direction after performing the duty herein assigned him, he will be.
He will then without delay proceed to Taylor's Island Dorchester County Md. for the purpose of settling as far possible as an advisory officer a difficulty existing between freedmen and their employers in regard to wages. He will then make full report of his action in the matter to the Chief of the Bureau and will as soon as practicable return to Fortress Monroe, and report by letter or  telegram to Col Brown Asst. Commissioner Richmond Va for orders.
