Boston Aug. 2/65
Col. O. Brown
A. Commissioner &c V.A.
Colonel
I have just recd from Genl Miles at Fort Monroe an order turning over to me the House recently occupied by Dr. McClellan, Camp Hamilton which I have been trying to get possession of for a long time - I shall at once prepare to occupy it -
I understood you to say that I could live there & look after that district &c. If you have made up your mind how, & when, it shall be done, & whether you will expect anything else of me, I shall be thankful to know it, so as to be able to make arrangements for my family, also for clerks &c. Everything looks well this way & great things are expected of the Bureau
I am Colonel Very Respectfully
Your Obt. Servt. C.B. Wilder
Capt. & A.Q.M.
