I... Leave of absence, to go out of the Department, is hereby granted the following named officer for twenty (20)days.

II. . . So far as any jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, the property of the Methodist Protestant Church, consisting of a lot of land, situated in the Town of Hampton, Elizabeth City County, Va. is restored to William Turnbull and others, Trustees, with all the rights and privileges of ownership, subject to the requirements of Par 8. Cir: 15, Series 1865. War Department Bureau R.F. & A.L. and upon the following Conditions. Viz: -

1st. The property will be restored to William Turnbull and others, Trustees, upon the expiration of the lease to any third party or parties, if any exists. ~

2nd. That nothing in this order be construed as entitling the owners to compensation for damages to the property; or to rents which may have accrued. ~

III... Captain James A. Bates, 43d U.S.I. is hereby relieved from duty as Acting Assistant Adjutant General at these Head Quarters, and assigned to duty as Superintendent of the 3rd District Bureau R.F. and A.L. with his Head Quarters at Richmond, Va, relieving Captain John A. McDonnell V.R.C. Superintendent. -

IV... Captain John A. McDonnell, V.R.C. is hereby relieved from duty as Superintendent of the 3rd Dist. Bureau R.F. and A.L. and assigned to duty as Superintendent of the 9th District. Bureau R.F. and A.L. with Head Quarters at Winchester, Va, relieving Bvt Major J.H. Remington, Capt. V.R.C. Superintendent, who will turn over to him all Quartermaster's and Bureau property in his possession. ~

V... Captain and Bvt Major J.H. Remington, V.R.C. is hereby relieved from duty as Superintendent 9th District Bureau R.F. and A.L. and will report to Captain John A. McDonnell, V.R.C. Superintendent 9th District, Bureau R.F. and A.L. at Winchester, Va. for assignment to duty. 

Bvt Major Remington will turn over to Captain McDonnell all Quartermaster's and Bureau property in his possession, taking his receipt therefor. ~
