War Dept, Bureau R.F. & A.L., is hereby assigned to duty as Asst. Sub. Asst Commissioner in charge of 1st Division — consisting of the Counties of Wythe, Grayson, Carroll, Smythe, Bland, and Tazewell. 8th Sub Dist State of Va with Hd Qrs at Wytheville. He will report in person to Captain W.P. Austin, V.R.C. Sub Asst. Comr 8th Sub Dist Ste of Va at Wytheville Va for instructions. [[left margin]] Genl. Howard Maj. Stone Col. Jordan Mr. Howlett Maj. Comr. 6th Div, 2nd Sub Dist Ste of Va at Farmville Va as an assistant in his duties. He will receive his instructions from Col. Jordan.
