Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands,

Special Orders, No. ___

The land owned by William Beans situated in Loudon County, Virginia, and which was libelled for confiscation, and set apart in Circular No. 1. Lands Department of this Bureau, for the use of loyal refugees and freedmen, is, upon the certificate of the U.S. District Judge that all proceedings against the same have been discontinued, and costs settled, restored, so far as any jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, to the said William Beans, who claims to be the lawful owner thereof.

Nothing in this order is to be construed as giving any claim upon the Government for
